Don't be Ignorant

I know that we are in college, but we need to keep abreast of what is going on in the economy. Even though the situation is grave, as believers, we should put our trust in God, not our economy. See this as a call to pray to our heavenly Father for the stability of our economy.

I'd add that being informed citizens (even as college students) sometimes requires a bit of work. We certainly shouldn't take everything reported on tv at face value. We need to investigate and ask questions to understand important issues.

Case in point, the current state of the economy. Taking some time to read about what happened and why it happened puts everything in a more helpful perspective. The media is in the business of overinflating issues and blowing things out of proportion. We need to examine things and evaluate for ourselves and not panic because people on tv are saying that the sky is falling. Plus, we can rely on the sovereignty of God and his goodness.
